Non availability of spare parts/Irresponsible after sales service of Kenstar microwave ovens.
I have purchased one" Kenstar" Microwave oven; Model No.OM 30DCE and Sl.No.8605080089 from Spenser Super Market , while I was working in Railways at visakhapatnam,in the year 2008. I have shifted my residence from Visakhapatnam to Kozhikode,Kerala during 2010 ,after my retirement from service.
This Micro wave oven has been sparingly used since its purchasing.However,this oven started malfunctioning , and Timer cannot be adusted, and approached the service center of the Kenstar through SMS to SVC during the moth of Oct 2010.. The technician from Calicut service ceter came and tried to set right oven,but in vain. He tolld me that the PCP of the oven reqired replacement and he removed PCP and carried to the service center for ordering the new one from the company. According to the technician he could not rectify the fault for want of spare part. He could not replace the spare parts due to the nonavailability of the same at Service center/company.
I tried to approach higher officials of Kenstar through the E-Mail shown in ther web sight,firstname.lastname@example.org,email@example.com( Kenstar is a Videocon group) etc, but e-Mail sent to these addresses are not being acceted.
How this manufacturer can escape from the resposibilities of ensuring the availability of required spare parts at least for a period of 5 to 10 yrs after introducing to the model in market?.
Kenstar is unable to ensure required spare parts even after a lapse of more than 3 months after registering the complaints.I spoke with:
i have spoken the matter with the service manager of the Kenstar at kozhikode,but in vain.I am unable to contact higher authorities of the company
What it would take to resolve this:
The PCP of the oven should be eiher replaced or rectified by a factory trained technician. It appears to be a minor snag in the electronic circuit.
